Happy Saturday, everyone! Jack and I hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving full of fun and relaxation. We’re giving special thanks this year, because the day before Thanksgiving my computer decided to go *pppfffttttt* and I thought I was going to lose everything on my hard drive — hundreds and hundreds of personal photos, including all of our “befores” of the house that we haven’t posted yet. I was sick to my stomach. Thank goodness it’s up and running again, and from now on we will BACK UP ALL OF OUR STUFF. Seriously people, learn from our oops and make sure you’re backing your computer up regularly! Eek!
So, now that we can post again, we wanted to take this Small Business Saturday to remind you that your local vintage store is an awesome source for holiday gifts for yourself or a loved one. Not only are the prices reasonable, and you’re supporting a small business owner, but you’re also purchasing cool things that are really rare or even one-of-a-kind. And if you’re going to shop for Vintage items, you seriously owe it to yourself to check out Vintage Doylestown.
The owner Debi is a good friend of mine, and I asked her if I could give you all the scoop on her shop; we actually became friends through her store, because I was in there constantly trying to blow every paycheck on beautiful jewelry and purses! Seriously, I have shopped at so many vintage stores in my life… and I have never seen a place so beautifully curated as Debi’s place. There’s a reason Vintage Doylestown was voted Best of Philly — there’s no picking through a bunch of junk to find a handful of quality pieces… every single item in her shop is awesome. She has amazing taste, and she’s super picky about what she offers her customers.
I was hanging out with Debi in the shop the other day, scouting for something fun and decorative to juju up the house, and she let me take some photos to show you guys some of the awesomeness. If you’re looking for home stuff, she has an amazing collection of cute vintage salt and pepper shakers:
And she also carries a bunch of other fun home goods, like barware, ashtrays, and glassware.
I almost bought this fun decanter, love it!!!!
Of course she also has tons of jewelry, hats, clothes, and purses… this is just a part of her hat collection!
Anyway… I did pick up something for the house while I was there. Can you see it on the top yellow shelf?
This gorgeous brass ice bucket!!!! Eeeeeeee! (And this is the radiant Debi holding my new treasure — only $22!)
It’s great for the bar in our built-ins in the rumpus room (which we’ll feature in an upcoming post) — it goes perfectly with the vintage glasses we got from some of our friends as a wedding present!
Although I snapped up this beauty, Debi has a ton of other fun house stuff in her shop. If you’re in the Doylestown area, stop in and say hi to her because she’s just delightful. If you’re too far, she has an Etsy shop and a Facebook page where she posts some of her goodies… but they’re only a teeny taste of what she has in her store, so if you’re looking for something in particular just message her and ask. (But please — leave a few things for me! LOL)
Remember — shop local and shop vintage for Small Business Saturday! Yay!
Cool ice bucket! and those glasses are amazing!

Thank you! I was so jazzed when I saw it on the shelf, and the price was just too good to pass it up!
Those glasses ARE amazing, and they’re in perfect condition (they’re even still in the original box)! Obviously our friends know us darn well. 🙂
